Is Talking to Dogs the Real Deal?

Different Senses
Last night I caught some snippets of a television program where a lady said she could converse with dogs. Not conversing in words as humans do but via telepathy, the dogs communicated to her in images she said. She admitted to using a sixth sense, in terms of the fact that she was not using one of the natural 5 senses, i.e. she was operating outside the natural sphere, she had entered the realm of the spiritual.

My understanding is that in the spiritual realm there is a whole parallel universe. It is vast and it can be monstrous if you get sucked in on the wrong side of the sphere.

Good and Bad
In the physical world we have Good and we have Bad:

Good Deeds and Bad Deeds

Good People and Bad People

Good Health and Bad Health

Good Vibes and Bad Vibes

Good Friends and Bad Friends

Good Marks and Bad Marks

Good Governments and Bad Governments

Good Success and Bad Success

More often than not the good and the bad are poles apart.

In the spiritual real there is the Good sphere where the Father God dwells and leads His people to constant victory. And there is the Bad sphere where the arch enemy Satan dwells ruling over his prisoners and forcing them into a war that was lost thousands of years ago. Between these two spheres there is a large gulf that separates and disallows intermingling the story of Lazarus is testimony to this. (Luke 16:19-31).

It is very possible that the ‘animal psychologist’ as she styled herself was able to communicate with dogs and a host of other animals. However she may have unwittingly opened herself up to a very dangerous, dark and uncanny world, a world where the end result is never good.

If we want to use a sixth, seventh or eighth sense, if we want to get into the realm of the supernatural then our best bet is to check out the author of all senses. The Father God the Creator. He created the universe; He made the heavens and the earth and all that is within them.

A Poem
This short poem is in honour of His greatness:

Father, you stand by me night and day
You hear me when I pray

You know the number of hairs on my head
You grant me sweet dreams when I lay on my bed

May I showcase your glory
As I tell of your wonderful story

You made the heavens and the earth
Yes, you spoke and you gave birth

You’re the awesome creator
Yes, you made the mighty alligator

You formed the honey making bumble bee
And little oh humble me.

The universe is held steady by your hand
You sent your Son Jesus to make a stand

As far as you’re concerned it’s all about love
Thus your down payment the Holy Spirit, a dove

Dear friend you may shout in a bid to have your say
But I affirm to you, yesterday, today and forever, Jesus is the way!

Please drop me a line on your thoughts

He Has Risen!!!

Hallelujah He has risen
Hallelujah the Son of Righteousness has arisen with healing in His wings
Before the sun awoke the Son of Righteousness had risen
Yes, He had arisen with healing in His hands

The power to heal our sicknesses
The power to heal out diseases
The power to heal our infirmities and disabilities
The power to heal our finances
The power to heal our relationships
The power to heal us from the inside to the out

The power to heal our wounds
The power to heal our hurts
The power to heal our troubles
The power to heal our minds
The power to heal our circumstances

The power to heal our loved ones
The power to heal our families
The power to heal our churches
The power to heal our governments and leadership
The power to heal our countries

Jesus Christ the King of Kings
The Lord of Lords
The Very God of Very Gods
Has arisen with healing in His wings!

He has Risen! Jesus is Alive!!!

“In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men
said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?
He is not here; he has risen!…”
Luke 24: 5 & 6 (NIV)

IS IT WORTH IT?

Does The End Justify the Means?

Some say the end justifies the means! Does it? Does the end really justify the means?

To the person who lies, cheats, pushes, punches, pretends, defrauds, pulls down, kicks and destroys others in order to get to the “top” and says it doesn’t matter, that the only thing that matters is getting to the top. I’d say that’s Incredulous! I’d say you’re highly deluded, in fact you’re imagining things.

How Long Can It Last?

It is said that many days (possibly chances) are given to the thief, but one fine day the owner is going to claim everything back! Believe me deceit will never last for ever.
Ask the English DJ, television presenter, media personality and charity fundraiser who died in October 2011. He truly thought he had gotten away with ‘it’, his dual lifestyle and happily went to the grave with the prefix ‘Sir’ before his name. Alas even in death his antics caught up with him, he was stripped to the bones and not just physically. Exposed as a child abuser people fled from the name faster than lightning, his gravestone eulogy was pulled down and his family bowed their heads, the glory had turned to gloom.

And this week there’s another bloke on the block, he was invincible, or so he thought, he rode high and wide and achieved fame and fortune and all the ecteras at least for a while.  Another “catch me if you can” and the powers that be did just that. Some may say that he’s coming out of the ‘closet’ of his own free will, no such luck darling. It’s a calculated attempt at damage control.

We All Need Some Form of Restraint

Maybe I should take that back, afterall I have my own skeletons, yea they may not look so deformed but that might just be because I lacked opportunity. Put in the same circumstances who knows what any one of us would do.

God’s Word Translation of Jeremiah 17 verse 9 says: “The human mind is the most deceitful of all things. It is incurable. No one can understand how deceitful it is.”

The truth is that as mere mortals we inherently lack control and restraint. If there is no-one there to stop us we will do whatever, whenever, however, to whoever and woe betide you if you cross our paths. If we could do it then we would. On many occasions people have been asked “why did you do that? Why did you treat Tom, Dick, Harry or even Susan so badly?” The simple answer is often “because I could!” (Although sometimes it’s implied and not actually spoken).

It is because of our brazenness that society has rules and regulations, laws that must be obeyed.

A Magnificent Standard

If we truly want to stand out in society and be a cut above the rest that will stand the test of time then we need to hold ourselves to even higher values than society demands. Average won’t do the trick, and if we cut corners to get accolades, the truth will eventually find us out and being in the information age that we are I’ll put my money on the truth exposing us sooner than later, I very much doubt we’ll be able to take our secrets to the grave 🙂

One higher standard to which we can hold ourselves is the ‘Book of the Law’, as Joshua tells us in the eighth verse of the first chapter of his book:

“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate
on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is
written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will
have success.” (NASB)

Not just success, but ‘good’ success can be obtained by following God’s Word to the letter, taking it and applying it literally. There are so many controls and massively great pieces of advice in the Word that even if we miss our way momentarily we will soon be drawn back to ‘the way’ if we keep reading the Word.

You want to stand before kings and not mean men the secret is in the Word
You want to be top of your game the secret is in the Word
Maybe wealth is what you’re looking for, the secret is in the Word, ask Solomon
Maybe you’re an IT geek and you’re thinking next generation software, the answer you’ll be pleased to know is in the Word.
For wisdom above that of your teachers, turn to the Word!

Please don’t be fooled into thinking the Word has passed its ‘sell-by-date’, it doesn’t have a sell-by-date. The Father God is the most current being you’ll ever come across, so current he knows for sure, as in definitely, what will happen in the year 3000 that is if there is going to be a year 3000.
Imagine, 2000 years ago He told us about tagging human beings, He told us about ‘big brother’ and how the state will start ‘watching you’. Only He didn’t call it tagging so people didn’t take Him seriously.
Now in 2013 we are on the verge of tagging human beings and people are taking it in their stride. A quick question what percentage of your money do you spend in cash? What about on the Internet can you spend cash there? And pray tell me what percentage of people with secure access to the Internet have not shopped there? To shop on the Internet you need a card (credit/debit whatever) and very soon that card with all your personal information will be embedded on your person, please take my word for it.

That higher calling we desire can be found explicitly in the Word of God may we embrace it with two hands!

Please drop me a line on what you think…there’s no stopping us in 2013, we shall achieve and we shall do it right…catch ya later LolaA.

LET THE ‘USAIN BOLT’ IN YOU SHINE THROUGH

For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come. (1Timothy 4:8)

The Goliath of Athletics
When I see Usain Bolt I think of Goliath and Usain is definitely a giant of athletics. He’s a legend and he’s got his ‘double double’. Two times Olympic gold medal winner in the 100metres sprint and two times Olympic gold medal winner in the 200metres sprint. The first man to ever do so, a big thumbs up to him, as some would say more and more grease to his elbows.

The truth is, there’s an’ Usain Bolt’ on the inside of each one of us. It might not be a sprinting Usain Bolt and it might not be a swimming Michael Phelps but there is definitely something there that sets us apart from everybody else. Something unique about us, just like our finger prints and DNA are unique.

Greatness is Lurking in the Dark
If we have not yet discovered what our own ‘Usain Bolt’ is then we need to dig deep, maybe go on a voyage of discovery and come up with our very own ‘New Found Land’, our very own utopia.

It doesn’t have to be sports, definitely not, it could be teaching geography; fixing cars or making money from the stock market, but it’s in there somewhere. Your own talent, something you love and something you’re good at…..You may not be the best, not yet, but that is where the ‘Bolt’ factor comes into play.

Ask anybody who is any good at what they do, it took and still takes hard work and no, it didn’t just happen overnight.

If you want to talk about being the best, that’s a different story altogether. That is a story of discipline, hard work, commitment, sacrifice, midnight candles, no nights out, no TV, etc. etc…….

Is it hard? Yes! Does it pay off in the long run? Yes, yes and yes! Just ask Usain Bolt, he feels on top of the world right now and he deserves it cause he’s worked hard. And after working hard what did he do? He worked a little harder. He put in the time, he learnt his trade, he put in the effort, he trained hard. He blocked out the pleasures of life for seasons together, he focused, yea he focused on his dreams, he saw with eyes of faith his ‘double double’ and he pursued it relentlessly.

Was there opposition, there was plenty, opponents were many, sowers of doubt were ten a penny, but Usain kept his eye on the prize. With unflinching determination he stayed the course, in the good times and in the bad, in the sunshine and in the hailstones.

It doesn’t matter what’s thrown at you, what you do with what’s thrown at you is what will determine your position in life, your position in history, even if it’s just the his-story of your family.

Decide to make it a story worth telling!

It’s an Olympic year and Usain Bolt has made history in 9.63 seconds and then he did it again in 19.32 seconds, but those seconds were backed with many many years of preparation. It flashed before our eyes but in truth it was a long arduous journey.

It’s the year 2012 and we are spectators in Usain Bolt’s story, many of us only took part in the clapping event  L

Make Your Story a Good One!
However we have our own stories to write and we cannot afford to be spectators. We cannot afford to allow others to write us ‘in’ or write us ‘out’ at their whims and caprices. We are the lead actors and we must determine to set the pace, to lead and to lead from the front.

By our actions, our determination, our focus, our refusal to take no for an answer, our refusal to rest on our oars and our refusal to be put down, we can take hold of all that life has to offer us.

Usain Bolt has come, he has seen, and he has conquered.

We also have come, we have seen and continue to see and by the grace of our Saviour we too shall conquer!

May the ‘Usain Bolt’ in you shine through!

Listen it’s the rumblings of thunder……Now is as good a time as any for your ‘Bolt’ of lightning!!!

Need to dash, my 9.63 seconds are waiting, LolaA

P.S. Just heard on the radio that Usain Bolt sent a twitter message to the effect that he couldn’t have achieved what he did without God. Nice one Usain (y).
