Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 NKJV
It’s time for us to stand up and stand out for what we believe! The days of hiding under the bushel are over, we can no longer afford to mingle amongst the crowd and get lost. The time of our showing is now, the prison door opened a long time ago and we recognise that we are no longer prisoners and slaves to sin, Praise the Lord!
Now the church doors have been flung open and we need to boldly step out and declare who we are in Christ Jesus and proclaim the Lordship of Jesus Christ here and now!
Unfortunately we live in a time where darkness, i.e. the works of the devil are celebrated and where the light of the gospel is viewed with distain. Walking around half naked is fashionable but you could encounter any number of problems for sharing your faith with your neighbour.
So, should we stop sharing our faith with others? Absolutely not! If the first Christians had been silenced by a bit of persecution we wouldn’t be here today. Wisdom is the principle thing here, we must be wise. Personally I’m a strong advocate of our lives and the way we live preaching the gospel.
We (our lives, our behaviour) are the only bibles some folks may ever read what type of message are we preaching? We need to constantly check our actions, our inactions and the words we say…….Maybe the check should be, would Jesus approve of what I’ve just done? There used to be a group called “What would Jesus say?”, maybe they’re still around, but it really is a great question. What would Jesus Say???
I really and truly believe that if each and every Christian lived the way Christ would have us live, not only will the world be a better place but the gospel will inevitably be preached.
Charity they say begins at home and I know that I’m preaching to myself as much as anybody else.
May we all be willing to take up the challenge of living truly Christ-like lives!
His Grace is definitely sufficient for all of us J
See you soon LolaA
Are you a Christian? Do you love the Lord?
It’s time to shine! Shine shine shine! Letting Jesus shine through us to light up this dark and perverse world.
Loose the masks, loose the veil, the curtains and the timidity that may be holding you back
Our coming out is now, coming out of the four walls of the church and into our communities to show the glory of our Saviour
There must be a difference, something that sets us apart, our love of the Father and His people
I must decrease that He may increase
